SERVICES OFFERED IN THE PRACTICE

MINOR SURGERY

The practice provides a monthly minor surgery clinic. In addition all of the doctors provide minor surgery services, including joint injections and the use of cryotherapy (freeze treatment)

TRAVEL IMMUNISATION

We provide full travel immunisation and advice. Please make an appointment with a practice nurse to discuss what immunisations may be needed. Remember to leave plenty of time before you travel for injections as some need to be ordered especially; Please leave at least 6 weeks if possible.

CHIROPODY

An NHS chiropody service is available to selected patients with specific foot problems. This includes patients with diabetes and circulation disorders. Routine nail care is NOT provided by this service.

FAMILY PLANNING

The doctors and nurses provide advice on family planning, including oral contraception, depot (injectable) contraceptive preparations and the fitting and checking of caps and coils.

NON NHS EXAMINATIONS

Medical Examinations for special purposes, e.g. elderly drivers, pre-employment, fitness for certain sports, HGV, taxi medicals, etc., are done outside normal consulting hours. These medical examinations can be arranged through the Reception Staff and a fee will be charged at the recommended B.M.A. rate.

WHEELCHAIR LOAN

The practice has a small number of wheelchairs available that can be loaned to patients for a short time: useful for excursions or a holiday. Please enquire at reception. A refundable deposit is payable.
