Dr Nick Jackson

Senior Partner

Nick Jackson graduated from Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee in 1977. His pre-registration year was spent in Oldham and Peterborough followed by acceptance onto the Peterborough G P training scheme. He took up partnership with Thorney Medical Practice in March 1979. 

He has been responsible for developing three purpose built premises for the practice during 1984 to 1991 and modernising the whole practice following the retirement of the last of the "older generation" GPs in 1985.

 Apart from clinical medicine, his main practice responsibilities have been centred around financial and staff management. Fully computerised book keeping and financial analysis have been in place since 1993. 

Nick has been married to Sally-Ann, who runs her own Landscape Architecture business, since 1975. They have three grown up children - Edward, Jennifer and Emma.

His interests outside medicine include badminton, skiing and more recently he has become very involved with flying radio controlled model airplanes and pursues an active part in the local club.
